

We celebrate John Andrew Casey Martinez of Tallahassee, life. He passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. John was a great son, loving father and uncle, a wonderful nephew and grandson. John had many friends in the Tallahassee area. He was dearly loved by all and will be missed by all his family and friends.
He was the loving son of Joseph Arthur Martinez and Mary Catherine Casey . John was born on April 7, 1987 at Ft. Benning, GA. John was a military son who lived with his family in Ft. Benning, GA , Ft. Bragg, NC, Ft. Wainwright, Alaska , Cheyenne, Wyoming Des Moines, Iowa and lastly Tallahassee, Florida.
John attended Deer Lake Middle School and Childs High School. After graduating, he attended EMT training, later worked in culinary arts, and for many years was a maintenance technician. Most recently he owned his own painting business, Colors of De Vinchi.
John enjoyed his many hobbies that included fishing, hunting, kayaking, gym, and watching his favorite football teams. John loved life and was always close to Jesus. John attended mass regularly at Good Shepherd Parish with his mother. He was devoted to our Holy Mother in praying the rosary.
He is survived by his daughter Saylor “Jade “ and her dear mother Casey Gonzales of Maine. His parents Joseph Martinez and Mary-Catherine Casey, his sister Mary-Sylina Casey Martinez, his brother Joseph A. Casey Martinez, and wife Marliana. His grandmothers Mary R. Casey and Louise Frank, paternal grandparents Jose and Nancy Martinez. He was predeceased by his grandfather Brian Casey. He is also survived by his nieces and nephew Evena Christine Martinez, Eden Marie Martinez, and Joseph A. Casey Martinez, Jr.
Celebration of John’s life will be held at Good Shepherd Parish July 26, 2014 at 11:00. Reception will follow.
