John was born in Kingston, New York, and spent the majority of his life in North Florida, a place he proudly called home. He dedicated much of his working life to the custom cabinetry business, where his craftsmanship, attention to detail, and strong work ethic were evident in everything he built.
Outside of work, John found joy in the simple things. He loved fishing and cooking, often combining the two, and took pride in sharing good food and good times with those he loved. He will be remembered for his steady presence, his hands-on nature, and his devotion to his family.
John was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Conrad Michalowski.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kelly Anne Michalowski; his son, Brian Wayne Michalowski; his daughter, Jamie Lynn Sevor; his grandchildren, Brooke Sevor and Adalynn Sevor; his mother, Gisela Theresa Michalowski; and his siblings, Joseph Michalowski, Eric Michalowski, and Lisa Ginn.
A private celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2026.
