Joyce Bennett Strange

A memorial service will be at 2:00 Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Bethel United Methodist Church. Visitation will follow at the Bethel fellowship hall.

Born August 20, 1938 she was the youngest child of W.M. and Lucille Bennett. She was predeceased by her much missed husband, Charles Strange Jr., her parents, two sisters, and one brother.

She was a Registered Nurse and was employed as Nursing Supervisor at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 2003. She generously donated her time and skills on several medical missions to Haiti. She loved being a nurse and helping people.

She traveled to many parts of the world and enjoyed every minute of her adventures, which included sailing the Caribbean, wandering the Alps, and exploring the Greek isle Delos.

She will be dearly missed by her son, Charles “Chuck” Strange (Donna) of Roswell, NM; daughter, Karen Strange of Tallahassee; her sister, Elizabeth Oredia Hamilton (Clark) of Tallahassee; her granddaughter, Jessica Strange (Todd Peak) of Crawfordville; her grandsons, Matthew Strange and Brandon Strange of Tallahassee; her great-grandson, Carter Peak of Crawfordville; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
