

Lennie Fulwood III was born in Jacksonville, Florida on October 3, 1968 to Carolyn Collier-Ervin and the late Lennie Fulwood, Jr. He began school in Jacksonville, Florida at Harborview Elementary School and later moved to Tallahassee, Florida where he attended Apalachee Elementary and Cobb Middle School. He graduated from James S. Richards High School with honors in 1986 and with a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida A&M University in Electrical Engineering with honors in 1992. Lennie was athletic and competitive. He especially enjoyed playing tennis.
After graduation he was employed as an Electrical Engineer with the Florida Public Service Commission for the State of Florida. He later became an entrepreneur on the Southside where he was well known and respected as “Da Music Man.” Lennie loved traveling and had the opportunity to visit many of his favorite places. He was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were the Pittsburg Steelers and the University of Miami Hurricanes. He was beyond intelligent and dedicated his life to spreading knowledge and laughter to all that crossed his path.
Lennie leaves to celebrate his life: daughter, Brittany Peralta (Alejandro); son, Lennie Fulwood, IV; mother, Carolyn Collier-Ervin (Charles); brother, Stephen Fulwood (Kathryn); sister, Nebi Salim Bakare; niece, Makana Salim-Uesi; sister-in-law, Angela Freeland; and other loving family and friends. He was never married, but was deeply loved by many. Lennie was preceded in death by his father, Lennie Fulwood, Jr. and brother, David Fulwood Freeland.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 29 at 9:00 AM at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32312.
