Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home-Timberlane Road with burial at Culley's MeadowWood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Caner Society.
Lila was born in New York, and had lived most of her life in Cleveland, Mississippi, before retiring to Boynton Beach, FL, and then moved recently to Tallahassee, FL, to be near family. She was of the Jewish faith and was a member of Adath Israel Congregation and Sisterhood, where she was involved in community and social events.
Survivors include her son, Gary S. Raines of Fredrick, Maryland; three granddaughters, Shelly Kirsch Mincy and her husband Michael, Melanie Raines, Corey Raines; one great grandson, Jack Mincy. Lila was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Milton L. Raines and her daughter, Lynn Raines Kirsch.
Arrangements are under the direction of Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Tallahassee, FL.
