Margaret Bargy, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at her home. Shewas born January 18, 1932 in Traverse City, Mich and moved to Florida in 1960. She has been a resident of Tallahassee since 1969 when she and husband M. James Bigsby moved with their four children. Ms. Bargy was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church for over 40 years. She was a cake decorator for the Publix Bakery for 25 years.
Ms. Bargy was preceded in death by her husband, and is survived by four children: James and Monika Bigsby of Landis, N. C.; Ammie and E. L. Osborne of Crawfordville; Teresa Woolverton of Tallahassee; Cindy and Joey Burdeshaw of Havana, Fla.; seven grandchildren: Dana, Danny, Stacia, Angela, Margaret Paige, Michael, and Julie; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, June 1st, at Maranatha Baptist Church with interment to follow in Tallahassee Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home 700 Timberlane Road.
Ms. Bargy was known by many simply as “Grandma” because of her great love for all children. Memorials may be made in her memory to Lighthouse Children’s Home 7771 Mahan Drive, Tallahassee, Florida 32309.
