

Marian Sue Peacock Parramore went home May 6, 2016. Sue was the daughter of T.P. Peacock and Lucille Sellers Peacock, born February 20, 1936 in Quincy, Florida. After graduating from Quincy High School in 1954, Sue attended Georgia Baptist College of Nursing where she earned her RN Degree. She began her nursing career at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. There she met Walter B. Parramore, her best patient, who became her devoted husband of 55 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Tallahassee Chapter #119 Order of the Eastern Star and was a former Advisory Board Member for Tallahassee Assembly #64 International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. Her favorite times were spent taking family trips to the family mountain cabin in Cullowhee, North Carolina, overlooking Lake Glenville. She also enjoyed reading, swimming and cooking.
Whether you knew her as Sue, Susie-Q, Momma, Memaw, or Aunt Sue she will always be remembered as a wonderful and caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and nurse.
Left with her loving memories are her husband, Walter, daughters: Nancy Lynn (Troy) Nelson, Ruth Ann (Bradley) Boykin, Kathryn Paige (Craig) Fenner, Patricia “Patti” (Travis) Pittman; her grandchildren: Brittney & Lindsey Nelson, Shelby & Jamie Boykin and Mason Pittman; her brother: Benjamin (Marinelle) Peacock; three step grandchildren, one step great-grandchild and several nephews and nieces.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Wayne Peacock; and grandson: Carter W. Pittman.
In lieu of flowers donations in Sue’s memory can be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
