Mark received his Bachelor of Science degree at Florida Atlantic University in education. He taught students with special needs for many years. He later worked for and retired from the United Teachers of Dade in 2006. He was devoted to the union and passionate about teacher’s rights. He was President of the Highlands Homeowners Association in Tallahassee.
He is survived by his wife, Rhea Wilson, who he married on July 30, 1966; son, David Wilson of Miami; daughter, Jennifer Barnhill (Randy) of Tallahassee; grandson, Joseph Barnhill of Tallahassee; and granddaughter, Ella Rose Barnhill of Tallahassee. Mark was a loving, caring, kind husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by all.
Graveside service will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, May 30, 2012 in the Garden of Abraham at Culley’s MeadowWood Memorial Park.
