

Martha Ann was born on October 6, 1936 in Oglethorpe, Ga. to Tommie and Lillian Gaynell Peterman. She was the oldest of five daughters. She met the love of her life, Grady in Pelham, Ga., and they married on December 26, 1957 in Cairo, Ga.
Together she and Grady moved to Tallahassee in 1958 where they resided until 1969, and then they relocated to Augusta, Ga., where she was a member of the First Baptist Church and was employed by C&S Bank. In 1979, they moved back to Tallahassee, where she was a member of the Tallahassee Women’s Club. Martha continued her work in the Banking and Mortgage Industry until she retired in 1985. She dedicated the rest of her life to spend time with her family, where she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In her spare time, she loved to garden, sew and do arts and crafts.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Tommie and Gaynell Peterman of Thomasville, Ga., one sister, Evelyn Reneau of Valdosta, Ga.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, Grady, her husband of 52 years, son, Darryl K. Bullington (Bobbi), daughters, Karen B. Chason (Randall) and Teresa B. Barrs (James), grandchildren, Lauren Keith of Grand Ridge, Fl., Mason Bullington, Alexis Bullington, Carson Bullington, Walker Bullington, Brandon Chason of Tallahassee, and Buddy Barrs (Tammy), three great grandchildren, Braydon Keith of Grand Ridge, Fl., Ashley Barrs and Emily Barrs both of Crawfordville. She also leaves behind three sisters, Joann Ray of Thomasville, Ga., Shirley Flynt of Tifton, Ga., and Marie Shiver (Robert) of Warner Robbins, Ga., along with a host of nieces, nephews and many other children outside the family where she was known as “Mrs. B”.
The family will receive friends at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home-Timberlane Road Chapel on Sunday, August 22nd from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Services will be held on Monday, August 23rd at Bradfordville Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with burial at Culley’s MeadowWood Memorial Park.
