Mary A. Herron, 86, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2012.
Born in Louisville, KY, she made Tallahassee her home in 1953. She was a homemaker and member of Saint Paul's United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Herron Sr., former owner of Herron Steel Company.
Survivors include her children, William H. Herron, Jr. (Mary), Robert G. Herron, (Virginia), Russell A. Herron (Kathi), Richard A. Herron, Barbara Jean Loveland, Pamela H. Shiflett (Allen) and Susan H. Brown (Phil); two brothers, Roger R. Kraus and Larry L. Haskins; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, January 5, 2012 in Culley's MeadowWood Timberlane Road Chapel, 700 Timberlane Rd. with entombment to follow in MeadowWood Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm Wednesday in the funeral home.
