Mary Lopes Noda

The service will be at 11:00 a.m. EDT on Saturday, September 4, 2010, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with burial at Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, September 3, 2010, at Culley's MeadowWood Riggins Road Chapel (877-8191) from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

A native of Brunswick, GA, Mary had lived in Tallahassee since 1963. She was married to John Wade Noda (deceased) for forty-seven years. Mary was a homemaker and later worked for the State of Florida, Department of Commerce, Unemployment Compensation Division. Mary was an active member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, as well as a devoted member of the Third Order of Carmelites.

She is survived by her five children, Lynn Farmer of Valparaiso, FL, Larry Noda of Tallahassee, FL, Theresa Litton of Auburn, GA, David Noda of Long Valley, NJ and Mary Beth Sheffield of Tallahassee, FL; 12 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association , Central and North FL Chapter, 378 Center Pointe Circle, Suite 1280, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701, or to EWTN, 5817 Old Leeds Road, Irondale, AL 35210.
