Max Fulford

Max was born in Bonifay, Florida on February 9, 1935 the fifth of six children born to his parents, Joseph T. and Lillie M. (Williams) Fulford. Max graduated from Holmes County High School, joined the Army, serving the majority of his service in Germany, and then went to Florida State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Business. He married the love of his life, Caroline Yvonne Pichard on November 12, 1960. Max last worked as a Utilities Regulator at the Florida Public Service Commission before retiring in 2000. Max attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Max was especially close to his four brothers and loved all his family, both immediate and extended.

Max, also known as “Papa” to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, is survived by his daughter, Joni Fulford (Ken Reecy); son, Frank Fulford (Lonita Fisher); daughter, Marie Kochanowsky; daughter, Judy Whiting (David); several grandchildren, Jason French (Chelsea), Lisa Rodriguez, Stan Reecy (Stacy), Kendel Driggers (Dustin), Troy Fulford, Lillie Roberson (Akhiem), Melissa Kochanowsky (Frank Madden), Sean Kochanowsky, Justin Whiting, and Michael Whiting; and great-grandchild, Leo Rodriguez. Max is also survived by his brother, Jimmy Fulford (Ann) of Panama City, Florida. Max was predeceased by his wife, Yvonne; his sister, Mary Lou; and brothers, Joseph, Thomas and Harry Fulford. Max will be forever missed by those who knew and loved him.

A visitation for Max will be held Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32312. A funeral service will occur Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 2:00 PM, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32312. A burial following the service will occur Thursday, October 3, 2024 at MeadowWood Memorial Park, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32312.
