Minnie F. Spear

Minnie Fletcher Spear, 84, of Tallahassee went home peacefully on Friday January 4, 2013.

A loving wife, mother and grandmother, She was a Beautiful sweet soul. Minnie taught us all to fight and to never give up. All that knew Minnie were blessed to have known such a strong sweet woman.

Born to the late Inez and Walter Fletcher March 12, 1928 in Palatka, Fl. After her parents passing Minnie was raised by her dear Aunt Ruby in Tallahassee, where she attended Sealy and graduated from Leon High School.

Minnie married the love of her life the late Bryan Spear on April 23, 1947. They were married for 59 beautiful years and are now eternally reunited. Minnie loved traveling, enjoyed their mountain home in Franklin, NC and tending to her garden.

Minnie is survived by her son Bobby Spear and daughter in law Kim Sullivan Spear of Tallahassee, Three Grandchildren Christopher Spear and wife Kristina, Tracey Daunt and husband Aaron, and Drew Spear. As well as many others who considered her "Grandma Minnie".

Minnie was preceded in death by her brother Wallace Fletcher.

A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday January 9, 2013 at 2:30pm at Tallahassee Memory Gardens. Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Riggins Road, is handling arrangements.
