Born March 14, 1931, in Spartanburg, SC, her family moved to Orlando, Florida, during her childhood, where she later graduated from Orlando High School and attended Rollins College. While in high school she met the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Brown. They married during Bob's service in the U.S. Navy, San Diego, California.
Nancy and Bob moved to Tallahassee when he accepted a job with the State of Florida, Governor's Energy Office. Nancy began working with the City of Tallahassee, Finance Department, until her retirement. She was a member of East Hill Baptist Church. Nancy's greatest joy and source of fulfillment came from her family. She was known for her southern charm and her homemade chocolate pound cake.
Nancy was predeceased by her parents; two sisters; and her husband, Bob. She is survived by her children, Scott Brown, Beth Tait, Malon Brown; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Nancy will be buried next to Bob in the Greenwood Cemetery, Orlando, Florida.
