

He was born in Wheeling, WV on December 16th, 1952 where he graduated from Triadelphia High School. Nick was an avid music and trivia buff who enjoyed all genres which led to a career in radio and television. He attended West Liberty State College for two years pursuing a degree in speech therapy. Through his professional career, he worked for GULF 104 as a DJ under the name of Nicky Scott and later was employed by WTXL channel 27, WFSU and Seminole Productions. His responsibilities included videographer/cinematographer and he functioned as a community outreach expert. One of his favorite responsibilities was as tour director for WFSU-TV. He thoroughly enjoyed meeting with all the visitors both young and old.
Nick knew no stranger and had a heart as big as Texas. He will be remembered by family, friends and colleagues as a man who cared about everyone he met. Also, he was the biggest “Steelers” fan on the planet and he enjoyed playing golf, entertaining his friends and family, and dining at local establishments. The highlight of his life was his son and there was never a conversation that Nick didn’t comment on his son’s accomplishments.
Survivors include his son Nicholas, brothers DeLloyd, Jr (Connie), Tom and his mother Mary.
He was preceded in death by his father DeLloyd, Sr.
Services will be held 4:30 pm Monday, June 27, 2011at Culley MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Rd, Tallahassee, Fl 32312. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to WFSU-TV (www.wfsu.org)
