She was predeceased by her husband, Merrill Payton Sr.; daughter, Joan Durham; parents, three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her son, Merrill Payton of Ashville, North Carolina; sister, Bell Edwards of Charleston, South Carolina; brother, Jackie Barboza of New York, New York; son-in-law and caregiver, Jim Durham of Tallahasse, Florida; granddaughter, Cristin Murphy; and great grandson, Nolan James Murphy both of Orlando Florida.
Graveside Services will be held at Culley’s MeadowWood Memorial Park in Tallahassee, FL, on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 10am.
