Oscar Gulledge

Oscar was born to Mr. and Mrs. Nosker Gulledge of Headland, AL on June 23, 1932. He moved to Tallahassee in 1951 and married Theresa, his loving wife of 56 years. In 1960, he opened Oscar's Upholstery investing the majority of his time and energy in developing the family business. With a keen eye for detail, Oscar used his upholstery skills to develop an exceptional reputation in the local business community. He was a member of East Hill Baptist Church. Although a man of small stature, Oscar had a huge heart and was known for his generosity. He loved spending time at home with his wife and family. Oscar will be remembered for his pleasant personality and quick wit.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa and three sons, Terry (Brenda) Gulledge of Destin, Tony (Cindy) Gulledge, of Orlando, and Todd (Lori) Gulledge of Tallahassee. He has one brother-in-law Dan Minciewicz and three sisters-in-laws, Deloris

Braddock, Ann Gulledge, and Pearl Gulledge. He had seven grandchildren: Josh & Joe Feltner, James, Bradley, Ashley, Ty, and Piper Gulledge. Hunter Feltner was his only great grandchild.

Oscar was pre-deceased by brothers: Henry, Luther, Robert, and Roy Gulledge and three sisters: Lela Avant, Shelley Kennedy, and Maudie Allen.

In liu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Big Bend Hospice (1723 Mahan Circle, Tallahassee, FL 32308) or to the capital improvements program underway at East Hill Baptist Church, (912 Miccosukee Road,

Tallahassee, FL 32308).

The Home-going Celebration Service will be held at East Hill Baptist Church on Monday, January 17,2011 at 2:00 PM with a reception following at church. Burial will be in Tallahassee Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held one hour before the church service and the family will offer a separate viewing on Sunday evening, January 16th from 4:00-6:00 PM at Culley's Meadow Wood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee, FL.
