Born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, Patricia and her husband, Gary, moved to Tallahassee in 1999, when Gary retired, to be near their two grandchildren.
Patricia cherished her entire family. She enjoyed hosting and attending family holidays and celebrations. Patricia’s biggest pride and joy were her two grandchildren who she spoiled rotten as a grandma should. She also like to read, play bingo and take vacations to Las Vegas.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Gary Cook; daughter Kim (Thomas) Montalbano; two grandchildren, Katie (Joey) Morris and Michael Montalbano; sister, Donna Hein; brother, Roy Surges, and her many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, Scott Cook.
We will miss her dearly.
A private service will be held. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Big Bend Hospice at (bigbendhospice.org) or the Alzheimer’s Association at (act.alz.org/donate).
