Patsy Reese Kelley

Patsy was born in Headland, Alabama on October 23, 1927. She moved to Tallahassee in her early childhood years. She was a 1945 graduate of Leon High School. Patsy married her husband, Alfred, in 1951. She was a retiree of First National Bank, now known as Capital City Bank. Patsy was a member of East Hill Baptist Church in Tallahassee.

Besides spending time with her family and friends, Patsy had a passion for Florida State Football. She loved being in the kitchen, whether it was frying cornbread or making a banana sandwich. She also loved taking beach trips to St. George Island, Florida with her daughters and grandbabies. Patsy had a love for flowers like no other. Patsy touched many lives with her bright personality and special kindness she exhibited.

Patsy is proceeded in death by her parents, William Cody Reese and Mattie Lou Reese, and her husband, Alfred “Coy” Kelley.

Patsy is survived by her brother, Charles Reese; 2 daughters, Linda Chason (Ronnie) and Laura Kelley; granddaughter, Lauren Miller (Casey); 4 great-grandchildren that she loved more than anything, Emma, Ellie, Evelyn, and Silas; and many nieces and nephews.

Patsy’s family would like to give a special thank you to Sheryl Burgess and Kelley Reed with Tallahassee TLC. They would also like to extend a thank you to her care givers Cynthia Brown, Tia Calhoun, and Karla Daniels. The family would also like to acknowledge Tammy McIntyre for being Patsy’s first care giver and say thank you.

Services will be on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home and Memorial Park, located on Timberlane Road. There will be a viewing at 10:00 am and the graveside service will follow at 11:00 am. Freddie Adams and Christopher Grendahl with Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home of Timberlane Road, Tallahassee are assisting the family with arrangements.
