Richard Alvin Baker, 77, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Mr. Baker was born in Blountstown on July 7, 1933, the son of Woodrow P. and Eunice Ash Baker. He was a longtime resident of Apalachicola and was a retired commercial fisherman. He served in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Baker is survived by his daughters, Debra (Charles) McGill, Ercelle (Charles) Fishburn and Cassandra (Ronald) Brandon, six grandchildren; Celeste, Michael, Allan, Debbie, Danielle and Javan, and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Idelle Baker. A memorial service was held Tuesday, March 15, 2011 in Tallahassee.
