Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home 1737 Riggins Road. Services will be conducted from Lakeview Baptist Church 222 W. 7th. Ave on Friday August 27,2010 at 10:00 am with burial following in Sopchoppy West Cemetery in Sopchoppy,Fl.
Rob Roy was the owner and operator of the Ashmores Drug Store in Tallahassee for over sixty years. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the Army and came to Tallahassee in 1946. Rob Roy was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church and the Ashmore Masonic Lodge # 102 in Sopchoppy.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Robert Roy and Lola (Revell) Ashmore Sr. and his wife Ethelle (Lawhon) Ashmore who died in 1986.
Rob Roy is survived by a son Bradley (Sharon) Ashmore of Marietta,Ga., one grand-daughter: Shellie (Brad) Blackburn of East Point,Fl, and two great-grandchildren: Payton and Colby.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church or to a charity of one’s choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home in Tallahassee, Florida.
