Robert Paul Theis (Ret. CSM, Army), age 73, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015. He was born in Butler, Pennsylvania to Paul Raymond Theis and Betty Jean Kinter Theis on April 29, 1942. Robert had an expansive career beginning as a school teacher, a 20 year decorated Command Sergeant Major in the Army, a 20 year retiree of state government, and returning to his love as a substitute teacher after retirement. He placed great emphasis on education, which he demonstrated by earning a Master’s Degree during this time, and his greatest achievement was being able to help others.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and one son. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Rachel; one son; two daughters; two step-daughters; six grandchildren; and two brothers. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Culley’s MeadowWood Memorial Park Chapel at 700 Timberlane Road with interment and military honors following at MeadowWood Memorial Park.
