Roger Herman Hahn

Roger proudly served his country with USAF from 1960-1964. Roger was selected to join the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) in Washington, DC and served Director J. Edgar Hoover, Clyde Tolson and Helen Gandy from 1964-1970.

Roger joined the Illinois Department of Insurance as an Investigator/Examiner from 1970-1980 at which time he had become the Assistant Division Director. Roger transferred to the Florida Department of Insurance and served as a Judicial Receiver and Assistant Division Director from 1980-1989.

Roger became the Vice President of U.S. Operations for Cooperation Insular de Seguros of San Jaun, Puerto Rico serving from 1989-1999. He joined Coventry Healthcare as their Director of Government Relations and Legislative Affairs until 2013, when he retired to fish with his friends and family in Tallahassee, Florida.

Roger was preceded in death by his father Louis William Hahn; mother Loretta (Jeri) Cecelia Hahn; sister Suzanne Steigelmeyer; brother Gregory Hahn.

Roger leaves behind a brother, Douglas Hahn and Alan Burgard (lifetime partner). Daughters: Jodi McMahon (John), Jeri Fuess (Steve) of Illinois. Sons: Eric (Tina), Forrest (Julia) and Brennan Hahn of Florida. Granddaughters: Jami Runyon, Page and Piper McMahon, Riley Phelps, Sydney, Marissa and Tessa Hahn. Grandsons: Kyle Fuess, Carrigan McMahon, Brody Phelps, Tristan, Charlie, Ryan and Ryker Hahn. Great granddaughters: Baylee Runyon and Stevi Fuess.

Roger’s ashes will be buried at the National Veterans Cemetery in Tallahassee, Florida. Please no flowers. Make donations to the Wounded Warrior Project.
