

He was proceeded in death by his father, Lamar Mock, mother, Virginia Mock and 5 sisters Billy, Bobbie Jean, Gladys, Johneva, and his twin Judy. He leaves behind Angela his sister and Terry his brother
Jack married his high school sweetheart, Glenda and they had 52 blessed years together.
During these years he was drafted into the Army where he Served his Country in the Vietnam Era. He was a SP4, Corporal Specialist as a Vulcan Crewmen. He received the national Defense Service Medal, Rifle Sharpshooter Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal of Honor.
When he came home from the Army, he continued his journey to become a Certified Master Carpenter.
He went on to receive his certification in Building Construction and Fire Fighting/Fire inspection and Drafting Certification. He worked for the State for 8 years, then retired from Leon County Facilities Management after 30 years.
He was the best Dad to his children Gretchen (David), Jay (Jessica), and Ginny. The most loving Papa to his grandchildren Dylan, Trista, and Kaleb. He showered them all with protection and love every day.
Jack wore many hats. He was a Soldier, Friend, Husband, Baseball Coach, Dad, Papa, Boss, Brother, Son, Protector and Provider. He often jokingly said that he was “The” jack of all trades, and the master of none.
He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He had the biggest heart and loved his family unconditionally.
To everyone he was an exceptionally wonderful man. To his family, he was the world. He will be missed by all.
A celebration of life for Jack will be held Friday, September 3, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32312.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
