She enjoyed singing in her church choirs, teaching Sunday School, and participating in Community Opera. After retiring as a legal secretary in the private sector, she went on several mission trips with her late husband of 62 years.
She is predeceased by her husband, Roy Ilee Beard; parents, Joyce Rahn and Thomas Walker Tucker, Jr.; her sister, Gloria Tucker Mullins; her son, Joseph Alan Beard; and granddaughter, Morgan Amarylis Lamb. She is survived by sisters, Lisa Tucker Melvin and Jane Tucker Temples; daughters, Sandra Lamb and Donna Beard; and grandson, Jacob Russell Lamb.
A graveside committal service will be held January 4, 2025 at 1pm at White Church Cemetery, 1900 Lawhon Road, Woodville, Florida. A Celebration of Life will be held January 11, 2025 at 11am at Immanuel Baptist Church, 2351 Mahan Drive, Tallahassee, Florida.
