Tracy Lee Allen, 56, of Tallahassee, Florida, was born on October 10, 1956, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Richard T. and Irene M. Allen.
Tracy passed away on May 24, 2013, after bravely struggling for many years with health challenges. She was a bright and shining star, always willing to help others, and who had a passion for animals. As a young girl and teenager she spent countless hours with her horses, riding through the pastures and into the muddy ponds of Oklahoma. No one but Tracy could handle her cherished (and very large) paint horse, Sugarfoot. Tracy was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Even while facing years of health problems she always kept a smile on her face. Her "little darlings" consisted of countless rescue dogs who quickly became the loves of her life. Her compassion for them was boundless and she happily gave them a loving home and companionship they had never known.
Tracy will be sorely missed by all who knew her. We cry for ourselves because of the hole that is left by her passing, but we know she is in a far better place. She is healed and whole and has been greeted by her horses and dogs, as well as friends and family who have gone before her. "Love ya darling," a phrase we often heard from her, will always carry a special place in our hearts. We know that you're dancing in the sunshine again but we will forever miss you, Tracy.
Tracy is survived by her parents; sisters, Jan (Bob) Samples and Leah (Tom) Anesta; and brother, Mark (Jana) Allen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Pam Belletini.
Tracy received her Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law where she participated in Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity, was on the Dean's Honor Roll and graduated 18th in a class of 223. She was currently employed as an attorney for the State of Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund.
Memorial services will be held 2:00PM, Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Riggins Road Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tallahassee Animal Shelter Foundation http://animalshelterfoundation.org/help/donate in memory of Tracy Allen.
