William F. Clark Sr.

William F. Clark Sr., age 76, passed away on Wednesday December 16, 2009 at home. Bill was born October 14, 1933 in Thomasville,Ga. to Walter L. and Joyce (Grice) Clark. Visitation will be held this Sunday at Culley’s Funeral Home from 2:00 to 4:00 pm where the family will receive friends. Graveside services will be conducted at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola,Fl. on Tuesday December 22, 2009 at 11:00 am CST will full military honors provided by the U.S.A.F.William had a most distinguished military career and had earned the Bronze Star with two battle stars, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal, the Air Force Good Conduct Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters, the National Defense Service Medal, U.S. Viet Nam Service Medal with two battle stars, the Viet Nam Campaign Medal, the United Nations Korean Service Medal, USAF Combat Action Medal, AF Presidential Unit Citation, AF Gallantry Unit Award, AF Longevity Service Award, AF NCO Professional Military Education Graduate Award, AF Small Arms Expert, Korean Presidential Unit Citation, Navy Reserve Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, USAF Combat Rediness Medal and the Armed Forces Service Medal.Bill had been a resident of Tallahassee for the past ten years. He served his country for thirty-four years (mostly in the Air Force) and was a veteran of the Korean and Viet Nam War. He retired from the military in 1973 and began his second career of Civil Service at Alameda Naval Air Station until 1997 when he retired. Mr. Clark enjoyed yardwork and gardening.He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years: Mary (Morgan) Clark, three sons: William F. (his wife Debbie) Clark Jr. of Napa,Ca.; Richard A. (his wife Jarenda) Clark of Tallahassee,Fl.; and Keith E.
