Edward Joseph Heck III

Edward Joseph Heck III passed away on Saturday January 3, 2026. He was 83 years old. Ed, originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of Edward Jr. and Helen, was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 35 years Donna (originally of Belleville, Illinois), and his brother Dennis Heck. Ed is survived by his brother Bob (Jacklyn) Heck, sister Barbara Ann (Buddy) Kleinhans, brother Mike (Maureen) Heck, his only child Dustin (Jaime) Brian of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Ed is also survived by the most precious joys in his life - his 3 grandchildren: Matthew (Justine) Brian, Connor Brian, and Madison Brian. He was also blessed with a great grandson, Thomas Connor Brian.

Donna and Ed lived in the North Lauderdale/Tamarac area since they were married in 1988. They were active members of the Moose Lodge #2267. Ed was a dedicated employee of the City of Tamarac for 40 years and could often be found at the baseball field cheering on his grandson Connor. When not at the baseball field, Ed and Donna would be at one of Madison’s dance competitions and recitals or enjoying fun trips with Matthew to Disney and Busch Gardens. Later in life, Ed enjoyed when Matthew took him on their Sunday trips to the Moose Lodge for beers, conversation, and fun. He had tremendous joy spending time with all his grandchildren and would always do anything for them.

Ed will truly be missed by all his friends and family.
