Gerard attended school in Port au Prince, Haiti. In search of a better life he migrated to Miami, Florida at the age of 28. He met Maude Placide in 1982 and after several years of courting her they got married in 1990 and moved to Coral Springs, Fl.
As an Immigrant Gerard made a living working construction. He then learned the trade of laying tile floors and went on to do that for several years. As he became a diabetic in the late 90’s he went on to do transportation for local chiropractic clinics.
As his health took a toll he was forced to stop working and was declared disabled due to a weak kidney and heart failure issues.
Gerard was a charming and fun spirited individual. He enjoyed to entertain and make people laugh. He loved playing music, playing cards, fishing and he loved soccer and was a faithful Brazil Fan. However nothing could top the love he had for his Family especially his wife Maude Placide. He leaves behinds (sons) Gerald Francillon, Sony Francillon, Junior Alexis, Peterson Francillon, John Francillon; (daughters) Viergela Francillon, Weslene Francillon, Geralda Francillon, Thomasina Crapp; (brothers) Jimmy Jeudy, Dieunord Francillon; (sisters) Marie-France Jeudy; (grandchildren) Aubrey Brown, Ivy Alexis, Ava Francillon, Saliah Francillon, Cali Francillon, Bronx Alexis, Landon Britt, Andre Brown Jr, Ryan Francillon, Steeve Francillon.
Gerard will be deeply missed, but we are comforted that he is no longer suffering and is at peace now.
