Apologies for the late post as we lost contact many years ago. Very sorry to hear of your mom's passing as she was a very caring and loving person who impacted all who were fortunate enough to meet her.  May you and your family find strength in the numerous fond memories and the wonderful legacy she's left behind.  Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

We were dearest friends for over 50 years and it's sad to know that I will no longer hear your  soft-spoken, friendly voice that  I heard for the last time on Sunday, February 11, when you said to me, "Oh, Alsie, we go way back.". You are sadly missed but knowing that you are now resting safely in the arms of God, free from pain and suffering, gives me some consolation.  We all loved you but God loved you best to call you home.

To Aunt Madge from the heart, 
My fondest memory I have of you, is every memory I have of you. The times we spent as a family, during picnics, during the holidays, spending the weekends at your house and visiting you in Florida during my summer vacations (We survived hurricane Andrew together). You gave me my first bicycle and help me learn how to ride. There are many times I neglected to give you my time, when trying to discover myself and you always forgave me. I miss you. Your one of the most kindest, generous, calmest, strongest and caring person I have ever experience. Your likeness carries on through your children and your grandchildren. Your footprints are left in the sand. You are my god-mother and like a mother to me. I will cherish my memories of you and it is also right to tell you “I LOVE YOU MOMMY”.

My dear God Mother. I am missing you and will do so for a very long time. I`ll never forget the first time I met you as a grown man, in the Bronx. You said with tears in your eyes " you were my first son " That sentiment spoke volumes of who you are/were. I was a new immigrant, who needed the kind of help and cushion that you and your family extended. When I was hungry, you fed me, when I was broke, you gave me a dollar. Your kindness helped to sustain my journey in America - to which I`ave told you many thanks, in more ways than one. Last year April we spent time togather in Tamarac, You were happy and it showed. I treasure those few days, and that`s how I want to remember you..smiling, talking and laughing in that cute manner of yours. It was a pleasure having you in my life. Love you always, your son Brian.

My wonderful Aunt Madge, I will miss you so much. I miss our daily calls and I can't believe that you're no longer here. Rest in peace, your niece Joan Marie Smith.

My beloved Aunt Madge, how I will miss your beautiful voice, saying, "Hello darling how are you and Justin." I'm so sorry that I didn't get a chance to say I love you in person but I know that you knew since we spoke recently before you went home to be with the Lord. There's an emptiness here in Florida without you now. It's very hard for me to visit without saying, "I'm going to Aunt Madge's house now." Oh, how I miss your smile and laughter my beloved Aunt Madge. You never forget to call to wish me a happy birthday and to ask how I was doing. With all that you were going through you always sound so strong and courageous on the telephone. Never wanting me to worry about you when I ask how you were doing. Rest in peace my wonderful and courageous Aunt Madge, you'll be missed so very much. I love you, your niece, Karlene.

My dear beloved Aunt Madge, I will miss you. There are countless things I will miss about you but most of all; I will miss your laughter, your wonderful cooking, hearing your voice wishing me happy birthday through the years but I can live with these memories knowing that you are in a better place now, nothing makes me more happier right now than to know that you are resting peacefully with our Heavenly Father. Aunt Madge...since I was a child, I always thought of you as the most beautiful person inside and out. As an adult, my view of you never changed. Everytime I saw you througout the years, you always made me smile. Why...because you exude a peace about you that anyone that met you knew you were a woman of God. I may not have said this to you, but I love you and I thank God I was able to know you. Rest in peace Aunt Madge. You are a true woman of God.
