On May 25th,2022 at 08:03am, Legend Leon Love made his way into this world, weighing 7lbs, 8oz and 20 inches long. His parents Lorenzo and Shakiera Love were ecstatic when he arrived and his entire family was over the moon, their special boy was finally here. Legend was born at St Luke’s Memorial Hospital in Easton, Pennsylvania where he lived for a few months before traveling to Jamaica to finally meet his father, Lorenzo, grandmothers, great grandmother, aunts, uncles and a host of cousins and relatives who were patiently awaiting his arrival. Legend quickly became the life of the party with his contagious giggles, smiles, his chunky legs and his sweet little cheeks. He adjusted quickly to a life in Jamaica with his dad, as his mom traveled back and forth to the United States to complete her Nursing Board Exam and begin her career as a Registered Nurse. His daddy took the best care of him and held down the fort as mommy made preparations for them.
Legend loved his time in Jamaica, he loved watching Gracie’s corner, Ms. Rachel, Blippi and Hey Bear every day, in fact Legend knew every song. He was smart, loud, funny and you couldn’t help but love him. Legend loved his food, especially bananas, if you let him, he would eat up to three with ease. He was loving, always giving you the tightest hugs and the sweetest little kisses. He loved his life, he loved to run, jump, climb, and throw all the pillows from the bed. He was energetic, fast and he loved and carried his iPad everywhere.
On March 16, 2024, Legend traveled back to the USA to spend time with his mom and prepare for his upcoming birthday celebration, but tragically passed away on April 9, 2024. He is now our angel baby, and we will forever miss him, but we will cherish the time God loaned him to us, his sweet spirit will forever live in our hearts and minds. We know he is forever laughing, smiling and jumping, because that’s just who Legend was. Though his time in this realm was short, and the pain of his passing so great, Legend lived an entire lifetime in 23 months. He has left an indelible mark on everyone who ever met him, loved him or even just saw a video of him. He was happy, healthy, loved by his mom and dad and family and he loved every minute of every day of his life. Legend now dances in our hearts, and we know he will dance in the sky.
Fly high butterfly, we will see you soon, we love you and your memories will forever live on like your name, Legend, Leon Love.
