Vivianne Joseph Vieux, 91, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, in Newnan, Georgia, with her beloved husband of 69 years, Rulx Vieux, by her side. Born on September 26, 1934, in St. Marc, Haiti, to Edvard T. Joseph and Maccia Jean, Vivianne spent her formative years in Haiti.
What many may not know is that after becoming engaged to Rulx, she traveled to New York to purchase her wedding gown. The couple married in Haiti, and shortly afterward Vivianne moved to New York ahead of her husband. Rulx joined her soon after, and together they began building their life in the United States, raising their children and eventually settling in St. Albans, Queens, New York.
Deeply devoted to family, Vivianne later sponsored several relatives to come to the United States, offering them greater opportunities and extending the same love and support that defined her own journey. After becoming empty nesters, Vivianne and Rulx relocated to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where they spent more than three decades. During that time, they enjoyed cruising throughout the Caribbean and Mexico, savoring the food, music, and dancing while creating lasting memories. In March 2024, they moved to Newnan, Georgia, where they lived with their loving daughter, Vivi.
