

Alfred John Vaniska, originally from Linden, New Jersey, passed away peacefully in Tampa, Florida on January 2, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, service, and love. Throughout his life, Al was a pillar of strength and kindness, always ready to lend a helping hand.
Al was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and trusted friend. His passion for life and good-natured personality will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Ann, with whom he shared a lifetime of cherished memories. Together they built a family that brought immense joy to his life. His son, Adam; daughter, Ashley; and son-in-law, Dan were a constant source of pride, embodying the values he held dear, as well as his two grandchildren, Claire and Ryan, whom he adored. Al is also remembered by his sister, Elaine; brother, Daniel, and close family friends, Tom and Carol and Mike and Peggy who shared in the laughter, triumphs, and challenges of life together.
He enjoyed playing sports, including basketball, pickleball and golf, especially with his children and grandchildren. Al devoted 35 years of his life to Walt Disney World in Florida, where played a crucial role as a manager for Disney telecommunications. His passion and commitment contributed to the magic that has touched the hearts of millions around the globe.
Beyond his professional achievements, Al was deeply involved in volunteer work in Hunter's Creek, Florida, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of many. He proudly served as one of the original members of the Hunter's Creek Citizens On Patrol program for the Orange County Florida Sheriff's Office. For 15 years, Al selflessly dedicated his time and efforts to ensuring the safety and well-being of his neighbors, and was honored by the Sheriff’s Department upon his retirement.
Those who knew Al will remember him for his kindness, his unwavering dedication to family and community, and the positive impact he made on the lives of others. His absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. May his legacy continue to inspire and uplift those who were touched by his presence.
A graveside service for Alfred will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2024 in Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida.
