RePast at Bible Based Fellowship Church
Berdie Mae Glover, age 88, was born in Nahunta, Brantley County, Georgia, on June 30, 1935 to the late Rev. Walter Lee Henderson and Mamie Jackson Henderson as the oldest of three children but sadly her siblings, Evelyn Thomas and Walter Jackson Henderson, predeceased her. After graduating from public schools she married at a young age to the late Alex Glover and moved to Augusta, Georgia and they had four children. She later moved her family to Brunswick, Georgia where she attended her Father's Church, Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, where she was active in the choir and women's ministry. She worked for Sea Pack and retired in 1999 after 26 years with Brunswick Memorial Hospital in the ER admissions department. After the passing of her Father she moved to Tampa, Florida to be closer to family. She worked with Crisis Center of Tampa Bay and volunteered at Bible-Based Fellowship Church where she served in the Choir, Sage Ministry and Women's Ministry.
Berdie was a very approachable lady who never met a stranger. A classy dresser who could sport a hat and head wrap with attitude. A creative cook, baker, and seamstress. Her angelic soprano voice was showcased in the choir she enjoyed serving. An avid reader, enjoyed word search puzzles, christian poems and all music by Gladys Knight, James Brown and Aretha Franklin.
