Berta Lidia Gomez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Berta Lidia Gomez, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who went to be with the Lord on February 14, 2025, at the age of 82.

Berta was born on March 27, 1942, in Honduras. Berta was the cherished mother of Judith Romero, Roberto Barahona, and Manuel Barahona. She took great pride in her family and was a constant source of strength and warmth to all who knew her. She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband of many years, Glenn Duane Gomez. Together, they lived a life full of love and joy.

Berta's legacy lives on through her five beloved grandchildren—Daniel, David, Karissa, Tate, and Easton—and her five great-grandchildren, Isabella, Valentino, Vincent, Charles, and Marcelino. Her love for her family was boundless, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

Berta lived in Roseburg, Oregon, for about 10 years with her siblings before settling in Tampa, Florida, to be closer to her children. She was a family-oriented woman, with a deep love for her faith. As a devoted Christian, Berta’s life reflected her belief in kindness, compassion, and the power of family.

Berta's passing leaves a profound emptiness in the hearts of all who loved her. She will always be remembered for her loving spirit, her unwavering faith, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her memory will continue to inspire all of us to cherish our loved ones, live with purpose, and walk in faith.

Berta nació el 27 de marzo de 1942 en Honduras. Berta fue la madre adorada de Judith Romero, Roberto Barahona y Manuel Barahona. Se enorgullecía profundamente de su familia y siempre fue una fuente constante de fortaleza y calidez para todos los que la conocieron. Fue una esposa amorosa y devota de su esposo, Glenn Duane Gomez, con quien compartió muchos años llenos de amor y alegría.
