October 9, 1972 - June 11, 2025
Brian Dean Bocklund, 52, of Lutz, Florida, passed away on June 11, 2025, after a long and courageous struggle with mental illness. He was deeply loved and will be forever missed.
Born and raised in Marquette, Michigan, Brian made the greater Tampa Bay area his home for the past 30 years. He was a devoted father, an avid golfer and fisherman, and an excellent cook. Whether preparing a meal, researching boats, or playing a round of golf, Brian embraced the simple pleasures of life and loved sharing them with others and his best buddy and dog, Parker.
Professionally, he built a successful career in medical sales and later followed his calling into boat sales, combining his work with one of his lifelong passions. His dream was to provide a secure life for his family and spend his future on the water exploring the beauty of nature.
Brian is survived by his beloved children, Anna and Danny, who were the center of his world; his closest friend and former wife, Mary Beth Bocklund; his devoted sister Stephanie Bocklund Leveille and her husband Vince Leveille; his mother Christine Schneider and step father Jack Schneider; his father Dean Bocklund and step mother Sharon Bocklund.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Timothy Catholic Church on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at 11am. A reception for family and friends will immediately follow in the parish hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay at https://www.crisiscenter.com/.
