On February 24, 2025, Carl Edison Stapleton passed away. Carl was born in the small mining town of St. Charles, Virginia on March 9, 1934. He served in the Army both active duty and the reserves. Carl moved to the Tampa Bay area with his family when he was 15 years old where he would later own and operate Stapleton Heating & Air Conditioning for more than 50 years as well as Stapleton Properties, for as many years.
Carl’s legacy is the kindness and generosity shown to everyone he met. Carl was always full of life with a constant smile on his face. He loved music and was able to play several instruments.
Carl was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 3 brothers. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Edwina Stapleton and younger sister Miriam Ella Chadwell.
