

Charles is survived by his son, Charles Burke Jr., of Tampa; his daughter, Cynthia Norton and Son in law Robert Norton, of Lutz; and his grandchildren, Cynthia and Brandon, of Lutz.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lana Turner Burke, of Tampa; his granddaughter, Amber, of Tampa; and his parents, Charles and Mildred Burke, of Tampa.
Charles (Bobby) was born on November 30, 1935 in Tampa, FL, to parents Charles and Mildred. He graduated from Plant High School in Tampa. In 1955, he joined the Navy and served for four years. In 1961 he became a City of Tampa Fire Fighter and Paramedic where he took pride in saving many lives.
Charles was a great family man and a loving father. He married Lana in 1960, and the couple had two children together.
Charles was a social and active man who was deeply involved in his family, including other fire fighter families for the majority of his life. He enjoyed Skiing, fishing, and hunting. His family and friends will always remember him as a hardworking devoted father and husband. He took pride in his work and always helping others.
A funeral is scheduled at Blount and Curry Carrollwood on April 3rd, with a 1 p.m. Visitation, and a 2 p.m. Memorial Service. A reception will follow at Charles' home (address will be provided on the day of the service). All are welcome to attend and celebrate Charles' life.
