

Chuck "Clarence E." Phelps, 88, of Scott Depot, WV, passed away on March 1, 2024, in Tampa, FL. Chuck, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, was known for his loving nature and dedication to his family. He was born on July 2, 1935, in Scott Depot, WV.
Chuck served in the US Airforce from 1954 to 1958, where he worked as a jet mechanic. After his military service, he pursued a career in the milk hauling industry, starting as a truck driver and later becoming a Dispatcher. He retired from Tampa Independent Dairy Farmers on his birthday in 1997.
He was a passionate fisherman and loved to travel. He was always eager to explore new destinations and loved going on cruises. Chuck and Charlotte spent a lot of time on Lake Pierce where he caught many large- mouth bass and enjoyed spending time with loved ones.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Charlotte Phelps, and his daughters Belinda Freeman (Jeff), Pam Chandler (Craig), and Cindy Wise (Al), grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and two siblings, Steve and June Catherine Phelps. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, as well as two sons.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on March 10, 2024, at 1:00, followed by a memorial service at 2:00, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Ave, Tampa, 33610.
