Conrado Ramos

Conrado was born in Mercedes, TX to Clemente Ramos and San Juana Rivera on September 28, 1952. Conrado aka “Slick” graduated from Mercedes High School in 1971.

He served in the Navy from January 27, 1972 - February 23, 1984 and was a veteran of the Vietnam and Granada Era. During his reserve time he was also a veteran of Panama and Desert Storm Era, and was awarded Good Conduct Medals, National Defense Service Medal, and Navy Sharpshooter.

He worked as an Electronic Technician for Naval Air Station Kingsville, as well as a Satellite Systems Technician for several years.

At the age of 62, he continued his education at Texas A&M Kingsville from 2012 to 2014. He graduated Cum Laude with Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences.

In 2017, he made his home in Tampa, Florida with Jayne Alford where he became a Mobile Notary and Wedding Officiant. He married Jayne Alford on March 28, 2021 in Odessa, FL.

Conrado is preceded in death by his mother, San Juana Rivera, and father, Clemente Ramos.

Conrado is survived by his spouse Jayne Alford; his children Lisa Ann Ramos, Jose Conrado Ramos, Aaron Michael Ramos, and Jamie Girton; his brothers, Clemente and Cosme Ramos; sister Martha Ramos; his grandchildren Tristen, Ryan and Helaina Ramos, Armando IV and Ava Azoca, Aiden and Brody Girton; and his step-sons Armando III and Alex Azoca.

Funeral services details pending. Interment planned for Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery.
