Cynthia J Hall (Cindy) passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024, at the age of 90. Cindy was born in Tampa, Florida and spent most of her life in South Florida as a teacher and lobbyist for the United Teachers of Dade and FEA United. She was elected the first female president of the South Florida AFL-CIO and later took the helm as president of the Florida AFL-CIO. She had a passion for fighting for the rights of teachers and other union members throughout the state of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Charles A Hall II. Cindy is survived by her brother Arnold Ramos (Karen); daughters Judith Hockensmith (Bill) and Shelley Yrabedra Gibbins; her stepson Charles A Hall III (Rana); 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
