Born on May 12, 1948, in Lenoir, North Carolina, David lived a full and spirited life. He had a quick wit, a generous heart, and a deep love for the simple joys—fishing at sunrise, a good game of poker, travel - especially the stories collected along the way, and laughter-filled gatherings with friends and family. His fierce loyalty, compassion, and generosity left an impression on everyone he met.
A proud veteran, David served his country with honor in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
David is survived by his three children, Jennifer Priddy, Eric Clark, and Daniel Clark, as well as his beloved granddaughter, Katelynn “Oakley” Priddy. He is also remembered fondly by his former wife, Maggie Battline, and many dear friends who became like family.
A celebration of David’s life will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 3207 W. Bearss Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33618. Friends and loved ones are invited to join in sharing stories, memories, and honoring a life well lived.
