Vartanian, David, 86, went to be with the Lord on December 4th, 2014. He was preceded in death by his son David M. “Duffy” Vartanian. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Elsie; son Corey, (Barbi); and granddaughters Hannah and Alicia, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Upon their marriage in 1952, David and Elsie moved into the Vartanian Farm in New Hampshire where they raised their children and resided for 40 years. David was an avid and devoted farmer growing a variety of fruits and vegetables sold to local distributors in the Boston area. While still living in New Hampshire, he sold the farm and began developing residential subdivisions. He was active in the Mr. and Mrs. Club of the Mount Ararat Armenian Congregational Church. He was also an active part of the Masons and the Shriners. David was a major supporter of the Republican Party, devoting hours, money, and resources to aiding many candidates when they were running for office. Most importantly, David was fiercely devoted to his wife and his family was always his heart’s first priority. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 9th at 5pm, followed by a celebration of David’s life at 6pm at the Blount and Curry Funeral Home, Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W. Bearss Ave, Tampa Fl 33618. Please visit the online guest book at www.blountcurrycarrollwood.com.
