GILBERT, Dennis James, age 53, born in Syracuse, New York and formerly of Plant City, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022. He was a graduate of Tampa Bay Technical High School in 1987. He enjoyed hunting, horseback riding, motorcycling, and most of all he took great pleasure in spending time with his family. He was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend who loved to entertain.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Sue Gilbert; sister, Candie Laramore; brother, Eddie Gilbert. Survivors include his father, Carlton Gilbert; high school sweetheart and wife of 33 years, Jackie R.; daughter, Crystal Serenelli and her husband, Michael; son, Michael Gilbert and his wife, Liana; three grandchildren, Freya and Enzo Serenelli and Xavier Gilbert; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Dennis will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Reach City Church, 6605 Krycul Avenue, Riverview, Florida with Lead Pastor, Johnny Honaker officiating.
If desired and in lieu of flowers, family and friends may make a memorial contribution to the TGH Rehabilitation Center.
