Donald Barrett Hassinger

Donald was born in Bellefonte, PA to Donald K. and Louise T. Hassinger on September 10, 1942. He went to school at Bellefonte, PA. He married Gwen on August 28, 1976 in Buffalo, New York. He graduated from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania.

Donald worked for the United States Postal Service for over 23 years, lastly in Claims and Inquiries He was involved in community and civic issues all of his life, and enjoyed working with his lawn and tropical plants.

Donald B. Hassinger is preceded in death by his father Donald K. Hassinger and his mother Louise T. Hassinger. Donald B. Hassinger is survived by his spouse, Gwen, his son Stephen K. Hassinger (Caitlin), his Grandchildren, Chloe, Theo, Julien and Emmett, his brother, James R. Hassinger (Patricia), his sisters Marie Shaffer and Molly DeArmitt, and many nieces and nephews.

The family of Donald B. Hassinger wishes to extend our most heartfelt and sincere thanks to the Danielewicz –Bryson family, Mary and Frank, for their loving support over the past several years.

Visitation will be from 11AM – 3PM, Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Blount and Curry Funeral Home – Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W. Bearss Ave., Tampa, Florida 33618.

Funeral services will be held at a future date and time to be determined at Zajac’s Funeral Home located in Niagara Falls, New York.
