

Dorothy “Dot” Wallick Aungst, 90, died June 24, 2016, at HCR Manorcare Carrollwood, Tampa, FL. Dot was a resident of Tampa since 1960, moving here from Columbia , PA. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and ceramics. She was a devoted mother to her children and grandchildren. Dot was born in Columbia, PA to Ivan and Rosina Schinzing Wallick. She was predeceased by her parents, sister, Nancy Wallick Crist; brother-in-law, Aubrey Landis; niece,
Rosina Landis Case and great-niece, Tiffany Rice. Dot is survived by her daughter, Carmen LaBrecque, Tampa; son , Dennis (Suzanne Hanna) Aungst, Riverview, FL; grandsons, Andrew Aungst, St.Petersburg, FL; Samuel Aungst, Largo FL and granddaughter, Jessica Shahan, Wales, UK; sister, Rosina Wallick Landis, Harwich, MA; brother, Joseph (Mildred Mahan) Wallick, Redondo Beach, CA; brother-in-law, Samuel Crist, Mt Joy, PA; nephew, William (Mary) Landis, Aspen, CO; nieces, Karen (Jeff) Crist McMichael, Binghamton, NY; Annette Crist, Mechanicsburg, PA; Valerie Crist Sherwin, Salington, PA; April (Brian) Crist Erb, Nashville, TN and Pamela (Andrew) Landis Constantine, Forestdale, MA. The family wishes to thank Donora Murry, Iris Chapman, Jimmie Adams, Connie LaChance and Beverly and Dean Stansell for the comfort and support they provided at this difficult time. We’d also like to acknowledge the dedicated and caring healthcare professionals at Manorcare and St. Joseph’s Hospital, Dr. Sylvia Campbell, Dr. Joel Silverfield and Dr. Raphael Rodriguez for their compassion during her journey. A visitation will be held 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Clyde Kraft Funeral Home, Columbia ,PA.
A funeral mass will begin at 10 am on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Columbia, PA. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made in Dorothy’s name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research Grand Central Station P.O. 4777 New York, NY 10163.
