Eileen Frances Truax, 88, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2017. Born in Chicopee, MA, she worked as a flight attendant and married Navy Lt. Evan Truax. Together they raised their family in Pennsylvania and moved to Tampa in 1983. Eileen was an avid tennis player and gardener. She also loved to hike the mountains of N.C. Eileen was predeceased by her husband, Evan and her son, Jeffry Truax. She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Truax; son, Mark Truax; 4 grandchildren, Casey Wynne, Lauren Digati, Jenna Truax and Christian Truax and her two great-granddaughters, Madiyln Digati and Ellingtion Wynne. Friends will be received on Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home Carrollwood Chapel. The service will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. She will be laid to rest at the Florida National Cemetery following the service.
