Evella Grace Gentry

Evella was born in Muncie, IN on June 8, 1936. Evella was preceded in death by her parents Omer and Ada (Haskett) Fierce; Her brother, Bob Fierce, and her sisters, Ruth Fierce, Helen Donson, Ethel Woodfield, Donna Donson, and Naomi Lovern, Juanita Smith; Her grandson Eric Gentry.

She is survived by her son, Mark (Dana) Gentry of Wichita Falls, TX, her daughter, Terri (Chuck) Shaffer of Wesley Chapel, FL, Toni (Bill) Bunkley of Carrollwood, FL; Grandchildren, Ryan (Erica) Gentry, Chris Gentry, Ashley (Brayden) Blauw, Allison Gentry, Angela Gentry, Lindsey (Matt) Paradiso, Bryan Shaffer, Jennifer Shaffer, and Zachary Bunkley and seven great-grandchildren.

Evella was known for her sweet and gentle spirit and beautiful smile. She retired from Sun Trust Bank after working many years in the mortgage processing department. She was a dedicated mother, a hard-working employee, and loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart, mind, will, and emotions. She loved taking care of her dachshunds, gardening, organizing and cleaning her home, talking on the phone with her sisters and friends, and most importantly spending time with her family!

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Idlewild Baptist Church. 18333 Exciting Idlewild Blvd, Lutz, FL 33549. A private interment will take place at Garden of Memories.
