Frank M. Lorenzo, Jr., of Tampa, Florida, entered into eternal rest on December 4, 2025, at the age of 80. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank M. Lorenzo, Sr. and Louise B. Lorenzo, and by his sister, Linda Bresnahan. Frank is survived by his daughters, Lorisa Lorenzo and Jennifer (Michael) Perez; his beloved granddaughter, Mya Perez; his former wife, Louise K. Lorenzo; and his brother-in-law, William Bresnahan.
Frank attended H.B. Plant High School where he played football and became a lifelong Panther. He then earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida and was a Gator football season ticket holder. While at the University of Florida, Frank met and later married Louise K. Lorenzo. Together they raised their children and created a lasting legacy of love, family, and many cherished memories.
Frank was proud of his service to his country. As a young officer, he completed elite Airborne and Jumpmaster training before deploying to Vietnam with the 35th Engineer Group from 1970 to 1971. Frank’s military career was marked by exceptional commitment. His professionalism and bravery earned him the Bronze Star Medal, as well as the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, among several other service awards. Those who knew Frank recognized that the grit, loyalty, and sense of duty he carried throughout his life were deeply rooted in his Army service.
Frank enjoyed a long and successful career in the financial services industry with Principal Financial Group, forming lasting connections with clients and friends throughout the Tampa Bay area. Frank was known for his lively personality and could often be found enjoying time at the University Club and Palma Ceia Golf & Country Club. In later years, many fondly remember gatherings at his Bayshore condominium during the Gasparilla Parade and other Tampa traditions. We celebrate Frank’s lifelong love of football—rooting for H.B. Plant High School, cheering on the University of Florida, and faithfully supporting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a 50 year season ticket holder. Frank also found joy in playing golf and spending time with family and friends at Indian Rocks Beach.
Aptly described as a force of nature, Frank will be remembered for his humor, his love of a good time, and the many friendships he made throughout his life. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
