Freeman, Gladys D., 87, née Gladys Dickson, of Lutz, Florida went to be with the Lord on Tuesday July 22, 2014. She was a devoted Christian, a Tampa native, and is predeceased by her beloved husband Thomas H. "Skinny" Freeman. Gladys is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Clint Monts de Oca. Her three dear grandchildren--Christopher Monts de Oca, Jeanabeth Barber Aquino with her husband Pedro, and Ryan Monts de Oca--affectionately called her "Mimi." She was also the proud great-grandmother and “Mimi” of Taylor, Kacee, and Rubye. She grew up in Seminole Heights and attended Hillsborough High School. She loved the beach, fishing, country line dancing, politics and old Hollywood classics. Funeral services will be held at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 E. Lake Avenue in Tampa at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 26. Pastor Gary Carter from Free Grace Church will be officiating. Burial will follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
